About

The American Space Law Society is a South Carolina nonprofit corporation conducting research on the law, governance, and politics of human activity beyond Earth.

Despite hundreds of billions of dollars flowing into orbit every year, the laws that govern this investment are ancient and crumbling. The field that circumscribes those laws remains scattered and inaccessible.

The American Space Law Society aims to be a new center of gravity: propelling space law into the new space age, publishing open scholarship, and building the resources and infrastructure a growing field should already have.
