Comments on the Waiver of Specified Statutory Requirements for Commercial Space Launch and Reentry Actions

The FAA proposes to waive requirements under thirteen federal statutes for commercial launch and reentry licensing. The Society's comment addresses the proposal's relationship to Article VI of the Outer Space Treaty, which obliges the United States to provide authorization and continuing supervision of non-governmental activity in space.
